Energy transformations

 Hello people! Today I will be having a new blog about this terms science topic.

Energy Transformation.

-When energy is passed down from one thing to another.

There are 8 types of energy.

-Kinetic - Moving

-Chemical Potential - Energy from food and fuel

-Heat  - Temperature giving energy - Hot = lots, Cold not a lot.

-Light - Waves of light - Visible (can see) or X-ray

-Gravitational - Effect of gravity pushing down

-Elastic - Stretches to load up energy

-Electrical - Anything using power

-Sound - Waves can hear eg: voice, vibration

[Elastic - kinetic - sound - gravitational - Kinetic]

Today We also did a little experiment.

What we did was a little marshmallow cannon.

We used plastic cups, rubber balloon and a small marshmallow.

We cut the end of the cup first then cut midway on the neck of the balloon. After that we putted the balloon at the end of the cup where we have token off from the base.

After we did we got outside and used the little marshmallow to do the cannon. 

Now you might think what those 8 types of energy is for..Hence I will tell you what they are for in this experiment.Well while doing the experiment we have to see which of those energy we saw and explain them. First is Elastic and that came from pulling the balloon at the bottom and that's when Kinetic comes in, moving from one place to another. One you fire the cannon you can hear a "*pop*" sound and that's sound energy, where the sound comes from. Then the marshmallow fly up in the air and that's gravitational energy. And once it's going back down it is also called kinetic energy because it moves down from up high where it came from when we fired the cannon.

We also did a little animation within 2 poeple in each group making the slide show.

Wga - Matrix

 Hello people! Today I will be blogging about todays task in wga. We were all sent a matrix all about CARR Values and what they are. 

We are given three questions and those are; 

How have best shown my commitment so far this year?

What are my two top commitment work-ons for Term 3?

In which learning setting (Listed on the Matrix) Do I find commitment most challenging?

My answer for the first one is I think it's somewhat in the middle because I mostly forgot about my timetable and I ask one of my friend from another class what their class is since we have the opposite subjects but same at the same time. I also tend to doze of from time to time But I manage to keep working anf finish my given task..

I think that is knowing my timetable and focus on my task that are given.

That is when I forget to charge my chromebook at night cause sometime I do some homework at home but tends to forget the battery percentage and kept going. When this happens I charge my chromebook in the morning so when I use it at night i'd be full but I forget to charge it at night instead cause I would often think that it is full..

All stars - Politics policy slides

 Hello people! Today I will be blogging about the political slides that we all did with our groups. 

The people in my group was Ashton, Faye, Zac, Rocki and me.

We were all told to make our own logo (which we did) and create our own slogan along with it..

We all have our political policies that we picked and gave examples of why we picked them. You will probably see in the slide later on if you read what's in it. 

However before making the slides we also made a google doc which where we put some policies and took five from each members of the group on which one we agreed from. In that specific doc we each wrote why we chose that policy and gave an example along with the reason to make it more reasonable. We also presented our slides in front of the classes for them to vote for us just like what the year 10s did when they were a year 9 but in our own kahui only.. Each group members must say their policies and why they chose it in front of the classes, except if one of the member is not there our teacher decided to just read it in front to cover it up.

Heat Transfer - Chemistry science

Hello people!  Today I will be blogging about today's experiment in Chemistry.

Heat Transfer : Moving heat from one place to another.

A Conductor of heat - Can pass on heat from one place to another. 
Example; A microwave and a light bulb 

Insulator of heat - Doesn't pass on the heat.
Example; House, scarf 

Convection and Conduction are both types of  heat Transfer - Where energy is passed from hot to cold.

Convection : Heat transfer without contact. 

Hot air rises      Cold air sinks

What happened with our experiment.

What Happened in our experiment is that all of us a used a tea bag for the experiment and made it goes up into the air. If you are wondering how? 

Here's how we did it!

At first we did cut the top part of the tea bag and took out the tea leaves inside. We made it go upwards so i'd be easier to light up with the match, and easier for it to burn down. Then we lighted the match so we can light it up. Once it was lighted up and was put on top of the tea bag, the fire started to go down and burn it until it was left floating in the air as ashes. Once It was cooled down it goes back down and spreads into ashes. 

Steam Kete - Reflection

 Hello poeple! Today I will be blogging about the steam kete that happened yesterday! 

The first I will be talking about what went well first. We actually kind of started doing our projects real late but we got to finish it in time luckily. I was in group with Faye, Qyn and Kl/Kurt. Kl decided to make another one when we were 2 days away from the presenting day and we kind of got worried because he might not complete it so we decided that even if we didn't get to present that one we still have a=our original plan..

From my perspective, I think what could be improved is that, maybe we should at least try to test it out before even putting it in. And What I mean By those is that, we picked fashion and so, we just put the top without even thinking if the top fit with the bottom skirt...But It worked out in the end anyways...

What I helped with in my group is, helping with making the design, like for example; making the sun hat, the belt that hides the ends of the cuts on the waist etc.

Topic: Learning about politics is school is important for high school students

For me yes I think is it very much important because it is just not about the country it's also for the people around that country too. For me to think, the reason behind this is just like what I said is to help the community and the country. Politics is where people debate over something that can help the community. Like for example politics that helps the Lgbtq+ community etc. So that is why I think is it important for high school students to learn.
