Why do some people get paid more than others

 Hello, people today I will be blogging about what we are talking about currently in Wga. 

The topic is about Why do some people get paid more than others. We have questions that we have to answer and I will be answering that here. 

Questions:

1. Why do some jobs pay more than others?

The answer for that is because some jobs are really hard and not many average people can do that it. So then for that hard job, people who do them get paid more. 

2. What did Adam Smith realize about making more money? (Two things)

Well, I wasn't really listening to that much when Mr.Collins was reading the short story since I was answering the other question and I was thinking. But I think about what other people need and make them a lot cheaper. 

3. At this point in your life, what kind of job do you think you might like to have?

Well for me, maybe if it's a part-time job I would probably choose Pak-n-save, or somewhere close to my house like at the hub. But other than that I don't really know.

Manananggal retelling - My version

 Mananangal 

 Long ago there once was a mythical creature called a Manananggal or so-called The Remover. It’s a creature where it wanders around at night with only half of its body flying around with bat wings. They say the only way to kill a manananggal was to find its other half and kill it. There were many made-up stories about its past life such as that this creature was forced to marry a rich old guy she didn’t want, or her child was taken from her so when she died she decided to eat other mothers’ unborn babies. Most of those stories are somewhat real. However, The real story of the Mananagal will now be told. 

Crowds cheering, laughing, crying. Mixed feelings are what you get from the stories given by the Edenbell family stories. There was once a very wealthy family called the Edenbell Family. They are very known for their great talent for writing stories. They have 7 daughters and all are very fabulous. However, people only know 6 of their daughters. That one daughter remained to be a mystery to people outside their family. This girl is Beatrice. She is 18 years old. She is one of the third oldest siblings. Her family doesn’t like nor love her. They don’t pay attention to her and they would most likely treat her like trash. One day she was forced to marry a rich man because she was told that she was useless. She didn’t like the idea and begged them to stop the agreement. Her parents didn’t care and let it happen anyway. She was devastated but couldn’t do anything about it. She only had a month left before the day of the wedding.  In that month she was locked up in her room and was only able to get out when she was asked to.  The day finally came and she was surprised because despite her being abandoned, she was given a beautiful dress for her wedding. Even though she knew that it was only for show, she was still happy about it. At first, she thought that she would be marrying an old man, but to her surprise, the man she was marrying looks about her age. 

After their marriage, both decided to get to know each other first. They had a very lovely relationship; something Beatrice never thought would ever happen to her even if it was just once. She was really glad that she met him. She loved him with her whole heart and would do anything for him. He’s around 19 years old. His father arranged the marriage for the two of them, however, He was also like Beatrice before.  His name is Eugene. He thought that he would be marrying a spoiled brat from that family. But by the looks of it, she was a gentle, fragile woman. He loved her and he would do anything to protect her. His Father’s company was entrusted to him. He was an only child, however, his father never paid any attention to him. He never met his mother and he never really cared. He would be busy most of the time but when he gets the time to go home to their house, he would use that time to hang out with his wife most of the time. 

After 2 years of them living together and loving each other, they were given a baby and Beatrice is now 3 months pregnant. They just found out about the news a week ago and they were really happy about the news. Eugenes’ business was also doing really well. However, there’s no happiness that has no consequences. After a week of celebrating something terrible had happened. Beatrice and Eugene were Framed to have offended a higher up. [In their country, offending a higher up will get you killed. Doesn’t matter what rank you are in, as long as the person you have offended is higher than you by 5 levels or more, you will never get away with it. Unless the person that is at a higher level is nice, you maybe get at least a chance to live, however, in times like now there’s barely anyone like that nowadays. ] Both of them were announced to be punished. Eugene begged them not to include Beatrice since she was pregnant, but people didn’t care and ignored him. They were also told that they have committed serious treason thus they will be punished (Tortured) until they announce what they have done. The couple was confused and couldn’t do anything. Furthermore, they were powerless. They were put on a torture Rack which was one of the most painful torture. A torture rack is where you are being pulled apart from your arm and from your feet. They were questioned but since they didn’t know what they had done wrong, they refused to say things because they don’t have anything to say or admit. Both of them were tortured to death. 

Beatrice woke up with only half of her body. As she looks around she sees her other half beside her. Beatrice cried and cried knowing that her poor innocent unborn child had just died with her. She was devastated. From this point, she knew that she was now a lost ghost. She decided to hide her other half somewhere and wandered off to find her husband. She looked for him for years and in those years she would mostly wander at night. Sometimes while wandering at night she would see other pregnant women. Even though she didn’t want to, she had this feeling of desperation within her. Every time she would see them she would slice the women’s bellies and eat their unborn children. She was jealous of them. While doing so, sometimes, the woman she has taken from would most likely die. But in some rare cases, some live and would be crying when they wake up. She kept going back and forth where she hid her other half just in case her husband would be waiting there for her. [Forgot to mention that she could also still use her other half if she wants to by connecting it together.]. But as expected he was not there. There was one last place she had not yet looked for. Their house. She realized that it was the only place that she hadn't looked into yet. She took her other half and connected herself with it. She decided that she will be walking there since it won’t be that far anyways. As she went in, she suddenly fell down to her knees and tears started to drip down to her face. There, in front, she could see her beloved husband standing waiting for her. Eugene walked to her and gently hugged her. Beatrice was crying so much that she could barely say anything. “I finally… found you… After all of those years trying to find you… I finally succeeded.” Beatrice uttered. “I’m glad…” Eugene replied with a soft low toned voice. Beatrice Apologised nonstop knowing all the cruel things she had done. “Hey, It’s alright… You don’t have to apologize for anything. It wasn’t your fault.” Eugene Comforted her until she fell asleep in his arms. A tear streamed down his face as he cradled her. He apologized to her for leaving her all alone. He hugged her tightly as if he’s never letting her go ever again. 

The couple is finally now back together. Until now no one knows what happened to them after they got back together. But for all we know, they are now happy and living their ghost life happily ever after.

Cinderella Retelling - The promise

For my blog for the retelling that we were supposed to do, I wasn't sure how long the retelling was supposed to be so I wrote quite a lot. I wasn't also sure of how much we were suppose to changed so I also changed most of the plot a lot... Most of the things that are in my story will be mostly quite opposite from the Cinderella we all know, however I will still bring up the shoes since it is the main part of the story.

Here's a summary of the story if you don't wanna read over 3600 words. Yeah. That much. The summary is also quite long but at least it's not that long compared to the completed, full of details one.

There was once a married couple who had been together for a long time. The wife wanted a child and soon was given one. The husband didn’t like it so he made his wife pick to either abort the child or he will leave. Of course the poor wife who has longed for a child for so long picked to keep the child and let her husband leave. The wife was lonely so her best friend decided to take care of her while she was pregnant. Her BFF (Tremaine, Cinderellas’ step mother) was also a mother of Twins. The twins were a year old at the time and it was hard for both of them. On the day of Cinderellas’ mother's due date, something terrible had happened. Her mother knew she won't be able to make it so she decided to make a promise with her BFF before she goes. She wanted her daughter to be taken care of by Tremaine so that was what Tremaine did. 

After a few years, the twins and Ella grew up together. Ella grew up to be a kind, energetic girl who likes to wander around the town. Tremaine decided to put Ella to school because she thought that it was finally time for her to go to an actual school rather than being at home all the time. At first Ella and the twins didn’t like the sound of that but later on just agreed. She was 18 years old when she finally went to school. She met the Twins’ friends who were the crown prince Arjen, his bodyguard and a magician, Hadrian, and lastly the princess, Arien. Ella and Hadrian then became dorm roommates since there wasn’t any dorm room that’s available left. Both didn’t like each other at first but that stopped after a few months later on when they finally got to know each other more. Ella then had a weird dream and got sick after. It was Hadrian who took her for a week. Later on Hadrian falls in love with her. When they finally got back to school, the school announced that they would have a trip. They were all told to be ready before the next week and they all did as they were told. When they got to the place they’re having their trip, they stayed put in one spot for a couple of days but then later on were told that they will go hunting. They were told to be in a group of twos so everyone did. They were set to a location of where they’re going and they all went there after. Ella and Hardian grouped with each other and went on hunting. At first they thought they could still be with the others, but because of the locations they were given that didn’t happen. Hadrian taught Ella some basics about hunting but while doing so they discovered that Ella has magic powers. Since Hadrian was a royal magician he decided to teach Ella about her magic. While on it Ella too developed feelings for Hadrian.

They stayed on the hunting spot until the end of the year but before graduation. They all finally went back to school and had a month-long vacation. On that one month vacation their friends had set up a blind date for the both of them by tricking them to only having an only girls/boys day out. They all got the two ready for the date and left them in a restaurant alone. Both got the idea of what their friends were doing so they decided to run away from them. After the long day, while walking to their dorm, the two confessed their feelings for each other and became a couple. The news got to their friends and they were all happy. The crown prince was soon engaged to someone he loves and this gave him an idea of making an arranged marriage for the couple (Ella and Hadrian). The graduation day finally came and they all had an after graduation party. There is where the prince announced about the plan he had and the couple were shocked but also happy. The next day after the graduation ceremony the Crown prince was finally married and all that was left was for Ella and Hadrian to get married. After a week, Ella and Hadrian are now also happily married then later on had a twins with opposite genders. And all they lived happily ever after.

Down here is the story I remade, so if you wanna read it feel free to do so.

There was once a married couple who had been married for a long time. The wife has always

wanted a child, but the Husband was not yet ready to be a parent. One day the wife became

pregnant, and the husband was furious. Both fought about either aborting the child or the

husband will leave them. The wife was sad and angry but she didn’t want to kill her one and

only child… So she chose to not abort the baby and let her husband leave them. After a few

months, she lived with her best friend who also has a one-year-old baby boy. She had twins. 

Her best friend thought there was something wrong with her so both went to a doctor for a

check-up. “Seems like you’re near your due date,” said the doctor. “I’d be better if you stay at

the hospital until your due date. You only have a week left so I think staying here would be a lot

of help for you.” the doctor continued. “Alright thank you so much… and if it’s alright with you,

could I stay with her till her due date comes?” Asked Tremaine. “Yes, that would be a lot of

help.” answered the doctor. “ Also if you want we could spare a room for you and your baby

boys while you stay here.” The doctor suggested. And of course, Tremaine accepted and both

she and Dove stayed in the hospital till Doves’ due date. Once Doves’ due date finally came;

while giving birth something terrible had happened. Dove was dying. While the doctors were

trying their best to help Dove; She made her final promise to Tremaine. She wanted Tremaine to

take care of Ella if something ever happened to her. Tremaine was devastated but still accepted

the promise. After a few hours, Ella was finally born but Dove wasn’t able to make it. Tremaine

was a single mother so it was very hard for her, especially now that she had lost her only best

friend. 

A few years later Ella is finally 18 years old. Her name is just Ella but some people call her

Cinderella because of the way she acts. She would always go outside to either play around on

the farm and help people or just go around the town city to wander off. She’s not the typical

Cinderella we all know from the original. She has the opposite personality from the normal

Cinderella. However, she still has a kind personality within her. She likes to play with animals;

it doesn't matter what type it was, she just likes them. She grew up with the twins since they were

babies. Her stepmother took care of them so carefully and passionately. Ella was home schooled

by her mother but the twins go to Dreams University. Her stepmother thought that it was finally

time to let her go to the same school as them. So then she did. 

Cinderella was around 17 years old when they decided to let her go to school. At first, Anastasius

and Armaros were against this because Ella has no experience of going to school whatsoever. But

then again that was the reason why Tremaine wanted Ella to go to school. At first, Ella also didn’t

want to go. But then she thought about it for a while and wanted to go just for fun. The twins also

finally agreed just because Ella agreed. They wanted to respect her decision so they did. The next

year they started school together. Cinderella met different types of people; There’s the smart kids,

Fancy kids, the famous ones, etc. 

On the first day of school, she stayed with the twins the whole day since she had the same classes

as them. The twins didn’t mind, however, they were pretty popular around the school because of

their looks. Many girls gave Ella death stares because they were jealous of her. Ella of course

doesn't care about that and doesn’t mind so she just ignores them. At lunch break, Ella meets the

twins’ other friends. There’s the crown prince (Arjen)  and the princess (Arien), then lastly the

magician and the personal guard of the crown prince (Hadrian). It was all awkward at first but then

they all started introducing themselves. The convo then went on until the break was over and the

last few classes came. 

After school, Cinderella went to the principals’ office to get to her dorm.  After getting her all set

up, she went to her dorm and the twins escorted her there. She then went in and met her dorm

mate. She was already told that she will be going to a dorm with a guy since there were no other

dorm spaces left. She thought that maybe the principal at least made her go to the twins’ dorm

room... But to her surprise, her roommate will be Hadrian. She didn’t mind and also wanted to get

to know him better because by then, from then on they will be hanging out a lot more often

since he is one of the twins’ friends and is now her roommate. Hadrian also didn’t mind at first

however as days went on he was getting more and more annoyed at her. Every day she

would wake up early and would be loud most of the time. Not that it’s a problem, but she

would also drag him and wake him up early too.  Hadrian would normally be a lot calmer but

this time he snapped and would tell her off not to wake him up so early. But to his surprise,

most girls are normally scared of him but Ella was different. She would always fight back and

they would fight for a long time. 

At school, Hadrian and the Twins have switched classes which makes Hadrian and Ella have the

same classes most of the time. Both eventually got tired of each other and they would sometimes

ignore each other. But sometimes that would also be a problem because the seats were changed

and they were both assigned to sit next to each other which made their hatred at each other

grow even more. The others thought that Ella might have changed Hadrian a lot. Hadrian

would normally be quiet and silent most of the time when they hang out. But now that Ella

is here, Hadrian was beginning to be short-tempered than usual and has begun to be more

energetic. At first, it was only Arjen who could see this side of him, so he was the most surprised

than almost all of them.  

After a long day, Ella rushed back to the dorm as quickly as she could so she could finish all the

important things she needed to do before Hadrian came back. After finishing all her work around

the room, she started working on her homework. Hadrian came back and walked in. As he walked

in he saw Ella working quietly and focused on her homework. Hadrian didn’t disturb her as he

noticed that Ella didn’t notice him go into the room. Hadrian finished all the things he needed to

do and headed for his bed. As he sat down on his bed, he took a quick glance at Ella and

remembered about the homework their homeroom teacher had set up for them. He finished them

quickly and by the look of it, Ella was still not yet finished with hers. He remembered there’s

still some subjects that they both don’t have the same so he let her finish her other works and

slept. After a few hours, Ella finished all her homework so she decided to look at the clock and

headed for bed. As she walked to her bed she saw Hadrian already deep asleep. It was already

around 1 am so she wasn’t surprised. She was just wondering how she didn’t notice him go into

the room. She yawned and went to sleep. 

“Hey!” A voice of a little girl echoed “Don’t touch him or I’ll tell the royal guards!” She continued.

“What is this…” Ella wondered “Is this a dream?” After a few tests she realized she was having

a lucid dream. As the scenarios went on, the visions became more clear too. The children started

to run leaving a poor little boy laying down on the ground. The little girl helped the boy up and

from then on both became really good friends. However, a little fog showed and made everything

blurry. The little boy suddenly disappeared. Didn’t know where he went, all Ella could see was the

little girl crying with the little cute shoes she got from her birthday. The shoes were from the little

boy. That was the last and first thing she got from him. Ella started tearing up not knowing what

the reason was.

 Ella finally woke up and it was still early in the morning. She thought that it was still too early so

she decided to sleep again. After a few hours, Ella woke up feeling so hot and felt like crying.

Her vision was blurry however she could see a little shadow. “Oh, you’re awake.” said Hadrian.

“Oh geez, you scared me…” Said  Ella. Hadrian told her to stay in bed and not go to school. He

also said that he will bring the twins to take care of her. She refused and said she didn’t want to be

left alone. Hadrian was kind of annoyed but he couldn’t do anything about it. He called the school

and told them that Ella was sick and didn’t want to be alone so both of them won’t be coming to

school for the time being. The news got to the twins and everyone in their group. They were all

worried about Ella so they decided to pay a visit after school. Ella was pleased. 

 After a week, Ellas’ fever was finally gone. It was Hadrian who took care of her the whole week. 

Hadrian thought that Ella was quite needy but also thought that it was quite cute. Hadrian didn’t

know he fell for her already. Ella was finally cured and went back to school. In the middle of the

class, the teacher announced that they will be going on an adventure. Everyone was excited but

Ella was the most excited one out of all of them. She wanted to do something with her life so this

was her chance.  They were all told to be ready before next week. After school, Ella grabbed

everything she needed and put them all in a bag. She was ready, ready. Hadrian was surprised by

the fact that all she brought was necessary stuff like emergency lights, canned food, clothes,

weapons for self-defence, a bunch of water that surprisingly fit in her bag, and a tent. Hadrian

was surprised about the tent and the weapons but he just let it go and left her alone. After the

weekends it was finally the week they went on the adventure. 

Everyone left on Sunday morning hence by Monday they will be there. Everyone went on a crazy

adventure. Everyone was surprised when they were told they will be spending there for the rest of

the year. They were all teamed up by the teachers and surprisingly Ella and her friends have

teamed up altogether. Ella was enjoying the whole thing and everyone just left her alone, especially

the twins. They knew how much Ella liked to wander off. Everyone else was also enjoying their

time. Ella also took this time to get to know the others much better than before. 

After a month of enjoying themselves, they were announced to go off in the wilderness for

hunting. They were told to go in teams of two. The Twins wanted to go with Ella but there

could only be a team of two so they decided to just go with each other. The prince and the

princess also wanted to go together so it was just Ella and Hadrian. Everyone decided they

could go in teams of two but still wander off together. Little did they know the teachers set

up a location for them to go to. Everyone was separated and it was just Hadrian and Ella left.

As they go on their hunting, Hadrian taught Ella some basics about it since it can’t be only him

who’s doing the hunting. Hadrian was surprised that Ella was willing to do it. They would

practice day and night and sometimes Hadrian would just leave Ella alone practicing. But one

night while Ella was practicing, Hadrian had just arrived at their tent. Ella was surprised by

what she had done. Hadrian was also really shocked about the thing she had done to the tree

she was using to practice with. She used her powers. Ella didn’t know that she had powers nor

did Hadrian. Hadrian has powers so he decided to help her control hers. He knew how hard it

was to control your powers. He planned to practice Ella with the hunting since they will be

needing their powers to hunt the monsters. 

They have spent the rest of the year together and had a very fun adventure along with

life-and-death situations together. Ella finally realized she fell in love with Hadrian. On the

final day of the trip, everyone was told to meet up in the central hall where everyone was

separated from the first day. Ella and the others met up with each other and were all glad

everyone was safe. Though some had injuries, it wasn’t all that bad. The teachers finally

revealed why they decided to put on this trip and everyone was not surprised at all. It was all

about having their powers waking up from them and for them to be able to use it. The students

knew about this the moment they got their powers to work and discovered that the things they

were supposed to hunt were monsters. 

Everyone finally got back to school and had a long vacation. Ella and her friends decided to

have a hangout. On the day of the handout, everyone went to the beach since it was summer

and it was hot outside. They played at the beach for the whole day and at night everyone played

some games with each other. One of the games they played was called Secret Message. The

rules of the games are easy. Just write down any secrets and don’t write your name on the

paper you wrote on. After everyone finishes their small writing they would squish it into little

balls so no one knows who’s who. After all that is done everyone then gets one each, all

random, and reads their one out in order. Anastasius was the first one. He read out his one not

knowing who it was from. “I like Ella…” Everyone then gasped and couldn’t believe what

they were hearing. The letters then passed on and the letters were getting more interesting.

Then it was finally Ellas’ turn. She was the last one and was afraid of what she would get. As

she opened her letter, she was surprised but she didn’t make it obvious.  She got her letter and

was nervous to read it out loud. After a few deep breaths, Ella finally said it. “I like Hadrian.”

Everyone thought it was all suspicious. Everyone else made eye contact and proved that it was

not them. Ella didn’t know they were all having their own secret convo, neither did Hadrian.

Everyone else knew what was going on but Ella and Hadrian. 

After a few weeks after the hangout they had. The others thought that it’d be nice to set them up.

Arien Invited Ella to have an only girls’ day out and of course, Ella agreed. The guys did the same.

Only guys’ day out they said. Both clueless people didn’t know they were set up. But before the

time of the hangout, Arien went to Ellas’ house for a make-over. (Ella was at her house that day

but Hadrian was in the dorm) Ella thought it was necessary at first but then, later on, gave up

because Arien kept on begging her and messing around with her. Arien brought a pretty dress and

a few light make-ups for Ella. She dressed her up and the time was finally there. As they walk out

of the house, Ella remembered that Arien can shape-shift everything so she decided to take the

shoes that were somewhat similar to the little girls’ shoes in her dreams and asked her to make

them her size.  Arien then agreed because the shoes fit the clothes she has. The boys did the same

thing for Hadrian. They made him wear fancy clothes and brought him to the restaurant they were

to “hang out” at. 

The boys arrived early at the restaurant and tricked Hadrian that they had actually forgotten about

something. Then Arien and Ella arrived. Arien also tricked her into forgetting about a royal

schedule. Ella was sad but just decided to go to the restaurant.  As she went in she saw Hadrian

sitting beside the window. She went to him and asked him what he was doing there. Hadrian

replied with “The guys tricked me into going here to have only guys hang out” He sighed.

“Oh my, Arien did the same thing…” Ella replied. After that, both finally had a clue about what

the others had done. Both signed and just went on with it. After talking in the restaurant both

decided to go to an amusement park. There, they realized the others were following them. They

wanted to have a little fun so they decided to run from them and lose them. After a few minutes of

running from them, they finally lost them. The amusement park was full of people so it was great.

Both decided to go on the rides and they had enjoyed their day.

 At the end of the day, Hadrian and Ella went back to their dorm since the next day will be a school

day. As they talked while walking, Hadrian accidentally confessed. Ella was surprised and

flustered.Ella of course, who also likes him back also confessed her feelings for him that she likes

him back. As he looked down he saw Ellas’ shoes which looked familiar. After a little thinking he

remembered he gave one something like to someone before but not quite sure yet. The shoes were

one of a kind so he was confused. Ella noticed and told him about the shoes. Hadrian also told

Ella all about the shoes he gave someone then both had a clue. They remembered what was in

their past and also remembered each other. Ella smiled and Hadrian blushed, Ella giggled because

she hadn't seen Hadrian blush before. Both then decided that they will be a couple from then on.

Both went inside their dorm and decided to change and sleep. .They both don’t have the same

beds but they have their beds on either side of the wall. Both were still embarrassed about what

happened earlier but also quite happy.  

The next morning the couple went to the classroom like nothing had happened. Their attitude

towards each other also didn’t change much. But the others noticed one little thing though.

Hadrian had been laughing more than he ever had before. Everyone thought it was all suspicious

so they started to investigate them for a week. After a few investigations, everyone then saw the

couples holding hands and laughing together. Everyone was surprised and was upset by the fact

that they didn’t tell them about their relationship. They thought that they should leave them alone

until they were ready to tell them about the news.

The next morning the couple had discussed telling the others about their relationship. At school

at break time, the couple had told their friends the news. They were happy that they finally told

them about their relationship even though they already knew about it. 

After a few weeks of all that drama, Arjen also introduced someone he favours. Both have been

together for 9 months and have finally been engaged. Girl he is engaged to will soon be the crown

princess. Everyone supported the two and it was announced it will be after graduation that they

will get married. 

They only have one more month before the graduation ceremony. The crown prince had an idea

that the twins and Arien were the only ones who knew about it. The crown prince arranged all of

it and was excited. The twins informed their mother, Tremaine, about it and she was also excited

and had also planned something for them. The crown prince's idea was to arrange a marriage for

Ella and Hadrian. They planned the whole thing for the whole one month they had left before

their graduation. They have planned that if it was a success they will get married after the crown

prince's marriage.   

It’s finally graduation day and everyone is celebrating. After the graduation ceremony, the whole

school had an after graduation party and that is where the crown princes’ plan started. He

announced to the whole school that Ella and Hadrian were together and that he had

arranged a marriage for them. Everyone was shocked but cheered them on. Hadrian and

Ella were embarrassed but were also happy. 

The very next day after the graduation, Arjen and his fiancee were finally married. After a week

after Arjens' marriage, Ella and Hadrian are finally married too. After a year Ella and Hadrian

were given two beautiful baby twins. One girl and one boy named Atheia and Amir. Both had

a very unique combination of their parents' appearance. The Crown prince, who is also now

the king, finally too has a very beautiful baby girl named. However, one of the twins (Armaros)

is finally now dating the princess but the other one (Anastasius) is in a relationship with the

princess’s best friend. And they all lived happily ever after. The end.
