Rapunzel - Fairytails

Today we are reading different types of stories/ retelling of Rapunzel.

There will be three questions that I will be answering.

For me, I think the text all had changed from the original version so that little kids can also read the story and make the imaginations not so wild for the children.

In my opinion, they changed each version all the time depending on the time period and on what is trending in that specific year.  Also, I think that they change it all the time so that they could improve the story into a better one than the previous one.

The similar things that I have read from all the versions I have read are that the Queen/Mother of Rapunzel was so into the plant Rapunzel that if she won't get to have one she rather kill herself. Another similar thing I have found is that the Godmother took Rapunzel and named her after the plant. The things that I found different in the stories is that in the movie Tangled, Rapunzel and the "Prince" went out into the city and wandered off. But in the stories that were close to the original they never went anywhere but the tower.

Well, that is all for my blog! Thanks for reading!

Foot Prints Analysis

Illustrative examples showing cracks, pits, and corns in the footprints... | Download Scientific Diagram

Today I will be blogging about Forensics, Footprints.

In Forensics today we continued learning about footprints. And I will be telling you guys what we did.

What is footprint analysis?

A footprint is a foot or shoe print that can be left behind at the scene. Can be transferred onto a surface or left just as an imprint. There are different types of designs under different types of shoes. You can tell the difference by looking at the examples you have and comparing them to the evidence you have with you. For example shoe damage, size, length, etc.

That is all for you my blog.  Here's some example on the sides. Footprints are basically just what you think it is.

  2. Add to this the milk, butter and vanilla. Mix until fully combined

  3. Pour half into each of 2 ramekins or microwave proof mugs. (leave room to rise!)

  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over surface

  5. Carefully pour over the hot water. Make sure it is evenly spread

  6. Cook in the microwave for 1½ min. Remove carefully once cooked

  7. Serve with ice cream, custard or a dessert sauce

This picture here is an example of what we did but here's a picture of what me and Faye did.

Our work was kind of messy since we tried to even it out. We used spoons to count each scoop
so both of us have equal amount. Overall the taste was really good. Though it was still a little bit
liquidy at the bottom; I thought that we needed to microwave it a little bit more than 1 minute and
thirty seconds. I might not be right about that but it seemed like it just needed more time. Aside
that, that's what I think about the food that we made.

Thank you for reading my blog!

English - Meaning Match

Meaning Match

Words:

Assiduous
Aptitude
Circumspect
Metamorphosis
Renunciation
Substantive
Nepotism
Solicitous
Inclement
Jeopardy
Nebulous
Diverse
Stratum
Anarchy

We were told to use 5 out of these words and make 5 sentences to help understand what those words mean.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My Father is a very assiduous person. He would always come back from home tired so we are grateful for him!

She have the aptitude to write poems quickly. She can think of a poem under one minute.

She stacked stratum of clothes on her so she wouldn't be cold when she goes out hiking in the winter.

The leopard was in a jeopardy situation. It was hurt badly after fighting with another animal for the prey.

Teachers shouldn't have Nepotism over one student out of the whole class.

For these sentences I chose to use assiduous, aptitude, stratum, jeopardy and lastly nepotism.
I'm not fully sure whether to add what those words mean or not... But for now I won't add it since we're only writing an example of whether we understand the words or not.

Thanks for reading! : l>

Vaping - Health Project

In Health we were set a task that required us to answer a question about vaping. Then after asnwering the questions we then pick one of the options of which one we want to do to show our learning. Me and my group picked art. It was a combonation of arts and making stuff. We did a lot of creating and painting with it. For the most part at the beggining I did most of the part because we needed it since we have a lot of things need to be done. After all of those everyone in our group picked a side of the box and made their creating and topic. The main topic is all about vaping. Everyone in our class topic was vaping. But before all of those we were asked to answer on of the 6 BIG Questions.

Our set success criteria were :
-To learn about what vaping is.
-Where to get help if needed.
-What can help.
-What it does to your health/lungs.

Firstly we had to write about the question we got before getting into the fun stuff. The question we got out of the 6 of them is "Why… is it harmful in the short term and long term?". Everyone else from other group also got their questions. Here's a link if you wanna check it out. Reason why it is harmful for you.
After all of that we moved on to the fun activity.

Once we got the 6 Big questions we started the actual activity. We had several options of which one we want to do. We did art and made a diorama.

From there we started to paint the whole box with black which took a lot of time so I brought it home. After painting the whole thing I added a design on the sides like what we planned it to. What we decided to do was kind of like a diorama so we half it into four parts and added all of the info we got into those four parts. It all shows what vaping does to your body, what can help and where you can find help if needed.

We chose this because not only it shows one information, but four. It also gives up examples in each sections like pictures and little minatures. We all learned that this type of strategy like showing examples and writing what vaping is about is a really big thing, because not only us who's learning from making this. Other people who sees our project also get to learn thing new about vaping.

Other than that It was really challeging overall. The reason for that was because we only had a very short amount of time to complete all of them and our project will need a large amount of time to be completed. So what I did to cope with this problem was to bring it home and did most of the stuff there to help save time for the other stuff. Other than that some stuff were also not sticking to it's place we had to fix it again and again which actually also took a lot of time.

I'm not really myself either I worked well with my team but I'm guessing everyone in our team did a pretty good job especially communicating. Maybe next time we could try with something a little bit more easier...But then again the harder that work the higher the grade you get. Overall I am very proud of what we have done bacause we actually haven't done something like this so it was a new great experience to make.

Here are some pictures of what we have done. I haven't really got a picture of the planning sheet we did since we did in on paper and I didn't to bring it today... But that's what we made! :)
